Since the opening of the first Scalpers store in 2007, the skull brand has taken giant steps. After 17 years, the spirit of the firm has expanded with 270 Scalpers stores for men and women, located in Spain, Portugal and other cities in Europe. It also has franchises and joint ventures in Latin America and Turkey.
Initially, Scalpers was born as a men’s fashion brand with a different aesthetic proposal. The origin: five friends and an exciting project. We interviewed its president, Borja Vázquez, in charge of captaining the company, together with Alfonso Vivancos, CEO.
We intend to become a global company with international recognition. That is our dream. Necessarily, this means being a benchmark also in women’s fashion (something we are achieving quite quickly), providing a real omnichannel service experience, and because everything, the first and the second, is fulfilled on an international scale, with the implications that this entails. The company is growing at a good pace and we expect to exceed the 300 million mark by the end of 2025.
Probably the culture of the company. There is a tremendous commitment and sense of community and family among our teams. And this, in a way, is also transmitted to our customers. We challenge ourselves in a constant and almost unhealthy way. We are always launching new projects and involving the teams in them so that they feel a sense of ownership.

Borja Vázquez firmly believes in the importance of surrounding himself with good travelling companions.
For this reason, he has relied on PORCELANOSA Grupo materials for his emblematic stores,
such as Scalpers Woman in Claudio Coello, 52 and the store in the Caleido shopping center.
Both with flooring made with large format pieces from the Harlem series by Porcelanosa.

In them, earthy colors and luminosity give the spaces their identity stamp.

We are fully aware that the economic sustainability of the project must go hand in hand with real environmental sustainability. Over the last few years, we have worked very intensively with our entire supply chain. Not only textile garments and accessories to generate the lowest possible impact, using raw materials and industrial processes accordingly. We have also been focusing on stock reduction, bringing supply closer to demand.
Pirates is a project that arises internally from the company’s need to ‘give back’ to the community what it has undoubtedly received from it. From Scalpers we focus on improving the physical image of our customers, with the moral effect that this has on their safety, dignity and personal conception. For its part, from Pirates we want to do the same with our cities, giving visibility to street art, offering events to express and reflect with absolute dignity. Thus, spaces and stores are created where people at risk of social exclusion have free access to our collections without having the feeling of receiving a handout. Vandalized places in our cities are artistically intervened to give them a second chance and make them spaces we can be proud of and become the seed of new ways of sharing in community.
